Dear Mayor and Councilmembers,
My name is _____________________. I live at ________________ in the City of Dripping Springs/ETJ and I am opposed to the City’s plan to discharge 995,000 gallons per day of treated wastewater into Walnut Springs and Onion Creek. Water scientists have evidence that our drinking water wells could be affected, and that Onion Creek could be degraded as a natural clear flowing creek from nutrients and chemicals in the wastewater.
I urge you on the behalf of our community's health, please use the permit to irrigate/store treated wastewater and please avoid discharging into the creek. Please do not put our groundwater at risk.
Dripping Springs is a unique and beautiful place. We need to be careful with our groundwater and natural resources. Please continue working until you have a no-discharge solution for our community.
